3. Yosemite Snowshoe Trip
4. Ice Climbing Basics in New Hampshire
5. White Mountains Hut-to-Hut Snowshoe

The winner will pick between one of five winter weekend trips run by REI Adventures, including a Mount Washington Winter climb, an Ice Climbing basics workshop in New Hampshire, a Yosemite Snowshoe Trip, a Sequoia Winter Mountaineering clinic and a Hut-to-Hut Snowshoe in the White Mountains. After the adventure, a party sponsored by LazyMan® will ensue to celebrate the weekend’s accomplishments. We’ll revel in their tagline — “Earn your Lazy” — with music, food, drinks, and maybe even a hot tub to soak weary bones from a weekend of climbing, snowshoeing, and skiing.

We have a winner! Matt Eder of Portland, Ore., has been drawn from among the thousands who signed up for the Gear Junkie’s Choose-Your-Adventure Sweepstakes. Eder, a 37-year-old sales rep and devoted Mount Hood skier, picked REI Adventures’ Sequoia Winter Mountaineering Clinic as his trip. This three-day adventure includes courses on winter camping, backcountry skiing and mountaineering in the peaks of California’s Sequoia National Park.

For 2009, GearJunkie.com is planning at least one more trip giveaway sweepstakes. Stayed tuned for details, and monitor the Daily Dose blog this winter for full coverage of the Choose-Your-Adventure Sweepstakes trip in Sequoia National Park.

Thanks to our sponsors, including headline sponsor LazyMan, REI and REI Adventures, Adventure Medical Kits, Bear Naked Trail Mix and Wigwam. Thanks to all the readers who signed up and made this sweepstakes a success!
