Cord Lock Light :: July 15, 2008

Black Crater LLC of Portland, Ore., touts itself as “dedicated to bringing unique products to market.” Indeed, the to-be-released Cord Lock Light is like nothing I have ever seen. This is a plain jane cord lock. An average spring-loaded cincher as found on the cords that cascade off backpacks, stuff sacks and sleeping bags.

But this one has a tiny built-in LED light.

As per the company, “the light combines the familiar function of a cord lock with a hyper bright white LED.”

There are three lighting modes—low, high and flash—and the cinch weighs less than the average matchbook (about 8 grams).

Add the Cord Lock Light to your jacket, backpack, stuff sack, sleeping bag, etc., and you’ll never be without a light source in a time of need. Never.

Price: $10
